We have been a team for a long time.
Our first business together was at about the age of nine where we planted flowers on the farm and then months later picked them, bunched them and then sold them.
Since then, there have been a number of different ventures, the latest being Alpha60. So as you can imagine we know how we can work together pretty well.
More often than not we have the same idea at the same time or if not we have ideas that step on from the other. We make for pretty good working team when you both have the same dreams and ideas.

None. Alpha wouldn’t exist with only one of us. The sum our parts are greater than the individual parts.

We like to bring ideas in from our favorite things of the moment. La Haine is such a great film, a modern French noir.
For our fashion week show we made a film that combined both Alphaville and La Haine, which worked together well despite being made 30 years apart.
We also took some inspiration from Vincent’s spiced tracksuits and as a result you can see allot of splicing through out the summer range.
I love that scene where Vincent is imitating De Niro in the mirror – genius!

Our mantra is - keep your head in the clouds...and your feet on the ground.

We have allot of influences - film, music art, architecture, gardens and a little slice is taken from each to create the whole vision. We often start with a theme, and things gradually build from there, with a number of twists and turns that can result in the whole range looking different to the original theme.

Of course, it’s a city that is teeming with inspiration. It seems to me that it’s a city with so many opportunities and as a result so many people are doing great things. It’s pretty exciting to be inspired by what’s around you.

We have a new shop opening in the GPO in Melbourne city in the beginning of November, so busy finalizing the design of that. We are also opening a new shop in Sydney city beginning of next year and about to launch in Liberty of London—which is pretty exciting as its one of the best shops around. That is along with a launch at NY fashion week early next year.

You serious? Alphaville of course!

Hells, Grace, Siglo, but come summer anything outside.

Big hair and big beards.

Dark was the night.

River Pheonix, but then again who wouldn’t want to be played by River and I’m sure that Georgie could be played by Anna Karina. We put on a party for Anna Karina last month when she was here as part of the Melbourne film festival, pretty exciting to meet one of our all time muses.
